JK2006 I gather Ronnie co-wrote Reach.

Why did that freak me out?
Foz Another legend gone. Name any 1970's BBC comedy and light entertainment programme and he probably wrote the theme tune.
I don't think we will ever hear such deft integration of wah wah pedal and classical string instruments ever again!
JK2006 Richard Ingrams used to call him Tintin because he thought he looked like Tintin would have, had he aged.

JK2006 Lovely guy - we intended to have dinner with another mutual friend but we agreed it a couple of years ago and never got round to it.

Most people don't realise how important he was but his urbane wit lives on.
