The night that she died over 20 (can't remember the exact number) people were massacred in a village in Algeria, their throats slashed during the civil war. I remember thinking how strange it was that the car crash of someone that was not even a head of state should so completely dominate the news. Which was the more significant news item? And today, is a Paris Hilton panty shot more important than a family dying in Iraq?

Mike Willis It came on the news last night and my initial thoughts was to turn the TV off as apparantly the inquest is going to last 6 months and quite frankly it is boring me.

I don't know about anyone else but I am getting sick and tired of her being in the papers. She's been dead over 10 years and it was an accident, what will the inquest prove?

It's just another excuse for the media to put her in the papers. So disrespectful of them to do that, as time and time again, William and Harry have asked the press to let her rest in peace and stop reporting on her.

But them what do the media care.
JK2006 Huge spreads again.

Always remember the media rule; if a pretty girl, preferably blonde, is involved, it can run forever (McCanns anyone?).
