Samantha Elgar Excellent series - filmed and set in Brighton. Filming, acting, story lines are top class - as is the seafront activity and scenery.

Pity that new series come out so infrequently and only with three episodes. It's the best police drama for some time - maybe since Line of Duty.
JK2006 John Simm is terrific and I love the actor who was Dot Cotten in Line of Duty but this first episode was very dodgy indeed. Spoiler alert... they should have made the perp a woman (why else sex toy rapes?).
