I was looking forward to the Wareham to Swanage railway opening. However I can't see many departing £25 for a short 11 mile (45 min) journey.
Dr Beeching was the antichrist.
There was some talks to reopen the abandoned line near me, however it will cost about 4 million just to start the repairs and get the labour. Most the lines have now transformed in to housing estate's, the M4 and footpaths. If there was a shuttle service to a couple of stations it will run at a loss. Having a direct train to Cheltenham would be nice.
If Blair, Boris and Rishi didn't didn't spend money on Iraq war, dodgy PPE contracts, lockdowns, money laundering in Ukraine and NHS apps. They could of restored a lot the rail network.
However the government wouldn't get anything themselves. Just imagine the jobs it will create and skilled engineers. If they had to use diesel and steam trains. These could be run by volunteers, especially if they are train enthusiasts. They love the free travel.
If the government want a transport and environmental secretary, I will do it for free.
The UK was a nation of shopkeepers they are soon be relics. The UK could be a nation of a diverse train network.
Forgot about leaves on the tracks or the wrong type of snow a diesel train will do the job.
