The McCanns are Catholics, so I doubt that they're freemasons.
I agree with Wyot and Honey. The alternative view seems to me to be a conspiracy theory. |

And I think that sums up my opinion too Wyot so, having heard from everyone regarding this sad but not rare case of a missing person, I think we can put the thread to bed and, like Brexit, Covid and the other media inflated dramas, devote our brains to other matters. |

If (and again I stress that this not my opinion) a greedy narcissist was in the position of having committed a crime and not only getting away with it, but being rewarded with more dosh every year, they would continue, partly for the money, but also for the pleasure of deceiving the public. It is called "dupers delight".
But you see, narcissists, even psychopaths, are just as likely to lose their children as anyone else, and possibly even more so, and most of the odd behaviour would still apply if the child had genuinely been abducted.
Thanks for expanding Honey. I of course accept there will be conditions that could explain a guilty McCanns behaviour.
I should probably have prefaced , though, my view, by saying that I think that explanations involving their guilt and deception - along with the "tapas 7" over so many years, are vanishingly unlikely within a range of relatively healthy or typical psychologies.
We would have to accept that at least one or both of The McCanns were "duper" narcissists. If one wasn't, they were so coerced by the other they have gone along with it all these years under the glare of World Media.
So far so very unlikely.
We then further need all of the "tapas 7" to be capable of covering up the death of a toddler for The McCanns (it is preposterous to suggest their friends sat in the bar were at risk of arrest or would have believed they were). And also agree to move her body. And be capable of doing so.
Then lie to the Portugese Police consistently, risking all they have for the couple and acting cool as fuck after handling the body of a toddler they were fond of or - if close friends - even loved.
And on top of this not one of the 7 over all these years has ever been troubled by guilt or PTSD enough to break their silence.
Faced with believing the vanishingly unlikely confluence of psychology rarity outlined above (which I know you are not asserting yourself) I revert to Occam's razor: in the absence of persuasive evidence the simplest answer is most likely to be the truth.
The simplest answer is this: the McCanns do not know where she is or what happened to the poor girl and are desperate for closure. |

Gosh.
Honey says they did call the cops quickly and WT that they did not. I haven't ever "studied" the case or reports. It is just when I read the different speculation I don't think it makes any psychological sense.
If someone could just explain to me in simple terms why - if The McCanns were involved and aware she is dead - so many years later they continue to draw as much attention to her as possible? Just in a few lines?
Forget sniffer dogs or favourite toys - just this?
It depends if you think ten minutes is an excessive delay? I don't, given the distress and that one of the men (Oldfield?) had to go to the resort office.
The police turned up three hours later, but within half an hour the resort management had organised their own search.
If (and again I stress that this not my opinion) a greedy narcissist was in the position of having committed a crime and not only getting away with it, but being rewarded with more dosh every year, they would continue, partly for the money, but also for the pleasure of deceiving the public. A few lines more?
1) Impossible to discount the specially flown-in BRIT dogs finding Maddie's blood and cadaver traces.
2) Since the McCanns' first (fake?) denials, the unending 'Good Story' has become an unstoppable self-serving huge industry driven by Fake Media, with some embarrassing large payouts to victims of fake reports. E.G. the first fake-media victim scapegoat Robert Murat, and then senior good-cop victim Goncalo Amaral who lost his whole career and marriage because his thorough enquiries including doors & windows forensics, plus BRIT dogs, all against the 'Good Story', eliminated an abduction. Plus millions pledged in a setup-to-fail 'find Maddie' fund, including by an unwary J. K. Rowling who should know better about fake 'mysteries'.
3) Somehow not using his own phone, Gerry eventually asked someone to alert the front-desk to call police, but not very urgently because they didn't arrive for some hours.
4) All other theories and myths are eliminated and can't match the overwhelming circumstantial facts found by Goncalo Amaral and BRIT dogs indicating tragic Maddie's accidental death-by-misadventure beneath the dining room window.
Meanwhile, a new Brit-Com flick by pro-Justice JK, "Carry On Fake Media"? Preview quote by reborn Kenny Williams, editor, "Oooh! No luvvy, f**k the facts pimp the myths." |
