JK2006 Well well - The Gathering is one of the two I haven't yet read, along with Darkmans.
Should mean a very happy Xmas reading session!
Meantime I'm still reading and loving Animal's People.
Fantastic shortlist.

You will get (in case you doubted it!) my review of the winner when I've read it.
JK2006 I'm told by someone who knows that Newsnight may carry a piece tonight.

Of course the reason this isn't getting full coverage is because TV executives are as dull, moronic and useless as the current crop of music executives.

They just do photocopies of reality TV.

When one comes up with a bright idea (as, credit where due, Amanda Ross did on Richard and Judy) others screech in nervous terror.

Books DO work on TV. Just as MUSIC does. But it's got to be the right product presented in the right way making good entertainment.

Then ratings follow (see Spooks tonight).
JK2006 Where?

No TV. No radio. No internet update on the Booker site.

What's going on?
