Simon Yates	Honestly, I thought the exchange of views was about the present day UK. Spain and France (for example) have a completely different modus operandi - as does the USA.
Green Man	You didn't know the Gardi during the Troubles Barney. Welsh police were quite easy to bribe according to my mate Tubs.
Simon Yates	In many walks of life, people are now specialists and do a specific task only. So there's no point in asking a bank cashier about a mortgage. The same happens in the police - and helps training, which can be geared towards the job that's required. Motor cops wouldn't be too effective handling a pub brawl.
Green Man	The public need to realize the police are only interested in those who drift over the speed limit, post memes on social media and those who have mis-gendered someone. The police didn't do anything when I reported about break in. Apart from look at car boots and selling sites like they did the first time round. I asked them if I bought it back from them, would I be arrested for receiving stolen goods? Sometimes sarcasm is warranted.
