A young person has told BBC News they felt threatened by the BBC presenter at the centre of a row over payment for sexually explicit photos.
The individual in their early 20s was first contacted anonymously by the male presenter on a dating app.
They say they were put under pressure to meet up but never did.
When the young person hinted online they might name the presenter, they were sent abusive, expletive-filled messages.
Speaking to BBC News, the young person - who has no connection to the person at the centre of the Sun's story about payments for photos - said they had been scared by the power the presenter held.
They said the threats made in the messages - which have been seen and verified by BBC News - had frightened then, and they remain scared.

MWT has been interviewed by GBNews, boasting again about disclosing Rolf Harris's name. He never seems to be asked how and why he did that months before Rolf Harris was arrested or charged and in defiance of the Leveson report.

The Guardian is one of those self-identifying 'liberal' newspapers that claims to support the principle of public service broadcasting and is critical of Murdoch. Yet Murdoch, for decades, has been waging a war against such ideals, and the BBC in particular, and yet every time his ghastly representatives attempt another attack, no matter how skewed, cynical and knowingly misleading, those papers do absolutely nothing but pretend thay 'ain't seen nothin'. Much like you. I hope this clarifies.

If this turns out to be correct, all those motivated by an agenda against the BBC, starting with The S*n, who have cynically used these allegations to undermine the Corporation, must be called to account. And everyone dragged into the social media name and shame game should be sued out of existence.
Whatever the reality of the claims, the political manipulation of the story by Murdoch, the Mail and co has been predictable and obvious, and yet the so-called liberal press, yet again, has stepped back and remained silent. If it was happening in Africa the Guardian would be all over it; when it's in their own backyard they suddenly lose all courage.
Just like the licence fee whiners who never complain at how their money funds the means of mass destruction. Pass the sick bag, Alice.
Very interesting take.

I don't know how you bring The Guardian into this - very odd. Have a go at The Sun by all means.
Very few famous sex offenders are publicly named precisely for the fear of being sued. And a certain "truth teller" fond of flowerly language has expensive lawyers for the very reason of shutting down exposes by various papers of his serial rapist past.

We get it that Show-Biz is full of sleaze, blackmail and backstabbing and always has been. You might get a few good years on the box then discarded to do the theatres. I think Bobby Davro is doing the hotel circuits.
If the media do name and shame the presenter. I probably wouldn't have a clue who it was. I haven't proper TV in years.
I get my joys sitting on tree stumps or on a shooting stick, in the woods watching nature with binoculars, or eating a bespoke club sandwich.
What the heck is a bespoke club sandwich? If you change the ingredients it's not a club sandwich any more.
This nonsense would never happen in Wetherspoons.
Like this but I double or triple up. I use more meat especially the offal in sandwiches. I don't understand why supermarket chickens has no giblets.
Yes I was wondering the other day where all the giblets have gone. Is there a national conspiracy to ruin the gravy?
I can get chickens with giblets from my butcher but it's a fair drive. If people don't know how to cook them, they need to learn. Also like cats and dogs love giblets.
I love the heart and gizzard. When it's Christmas, my partner knows better to give me giblets over turkey.
