Why the hell bothering having hospitals when surgeons want to play God, kill you for the sake for it and put DNR without consent?
I thank God (who?) daily that Oz's Medicare modeled on the NHS has not been partly privatized and that no politician left or right dares to meddle with it upon pain of a drubbing at election time.
Whole Truth
As in much of the 1980s ongoing FMR/Fraud Market Racket.
The so called 'NHS' has long been a cash-cow NHI/National Health Industry. Where mammonite managers for Ratings & Profit, RULE eminent medics for Health & Welfare.
Hypocrite Oafs RULING the Hypocratic Oath.
Letby was 'let be' by bean-counting managers over-ruling concerned consultants.
Quote 1970s ousted Man Utd manager Tommy 'The Doc' Docherty, "Accountants know the price of everything - and the value of nothing!"
Bonus quote, "There's a place for the press, but they haven't dug it yet."
Wyot
Are following Letby media coverage and public outrage the new devils. Allowing a serial killer to continue killing to avoid reputations damage to their NHS Trusts.
Interesting so far as it goes and no doubt a problem, as it is in many other Government regulated and accountable bodies.
But, again, why does no one ask the more interesting question? The one through which real change might be affected?
That is - why are these managers so afraid of the damage and their careers? Why has the Gov, society and media created such a damning hysterical atmosphere, where no one can admit any failure without fearing for their livelihood?
If we address this there will be less chance of other Letbys. Anything else is gesture politics.
