I have no idea who this soccer player is nor the backstory.
However I do agree with you again Wyot that WT posts are quite disturbing it's like the Zodiac letters at times. To put it politely I think WT search history needs to be checked. |

Many years ago publicist Max Clifford realised that some footballers became very wealthy, were rather foolish or even stupid and could easily be seduced by women who were only after large sums of cash - at best becoming Footballers Wives; at least selling their stories (through Max) to the tabloids. His biggest hit was Beckham.
Since his sad demise there has been a bit of a gap in the marketplace (filled by False Allegations, often against various church people or religious organisations - wealthy - or by celebrities - perceived wealthy). But slowly that too is starting to collapse - particularly as police start to realise the spotlight might fall on individual officers. And stupids (often encouraged by ENABLERS like Max, when alive, or bent lawyers after cash with No Win No Fee ambulance chasing) like Carl Beech, Jemma Beale, Danny Day and others - many of whom ended up in prison.
And, as we are now seeing, even the accomplices (often genuinely believing the lies of false accusers) ending up serving time for Attempting to Pervert or Perjury or other linked crimes.
Without the support of corrupt cops, the backlash slowly started. Ched Evans - proved innocent (though his life as a footballer wrecked). And now Mason Greenwood - declared innocent but a British career over. Because clubs, hounded like politicians by media, follow the media hype.
It strikes me that Mason, still young, will get a great deal with a foreign club and will contribute to the UK decline as the premiere football nation. Just as there will be other cases (like Kevin Spacey, Cliff and others) which will turn into Carl Beech type prosecutions and prison sentences for the modern equivalent of blackmailers.
Police, keen to revive their negative image, will start prosecuting more and more false accusers. Sadly that may include some genuinely abused, caught in the backlash. As the media starts to spot that reversing past miscarriages of justice (like Andrew Malkinson) is a GREAT STORY, they will turn on a sixpence.
Will we be able to suppress a chuckle when Bayern Munich slay Manchester United in some future stupid high profile contest due to Mason Greenwood scoring a hat trick? |
