Thank you Jo, I like to think he did also. He refused to hospices and treatment he wanted to go on his terms. I was not there for the scattering, I wanted to remember for the man he was not ashes. However Norway helped, my partner left me alone with my fishing only came out to bring me lunch and flasks of coffee.

Thank you Wyot.
He went peacefully in his sleep, facing the sea.
I can't think of better way to go other than snuffing it in the woods.

Sorry to hear about Tubs GM.

I have not long got back from Norway. After the death of Tubs. My partner took me to Norway after Scotland.
Breen to be accurate. Had a very nice log cabin, it was too posh for me I like rustic and rust.
Breen is a beautiful place, I have never been before. Log cabin never the mountains for hiking, fishing, nature spotting and walking like Wyot on the pull.
I still don't get why hikers take bum paper when nature supplied leaves and cauliflower. I know that bannisters are not always in hand, the same with railings.
