JK2006 I was there at the Semi - having bought a ticket from a German fan (at face value) outside. When Germany scored I sat glum amongst thousands of cheering Krauts; when England scored I was the lone supporter on my feet. But they were such nice people - really genuinely sympathetic when we lost (penalties) completely contradicting the image (media) of warring football fans. And afterwards all the Brit fans were urging German fans to beat the Argies. Turin 1990. I just happened to be there in my Rolls, as you do.
