Chris This 'retrial' of one count with someone already serving a 'whole life' tariff will, very conveniently, mean that the likes of Peter Hitchens won't be allowed to raise the issue of a potential cross miscarriage of justice.
JK2006 I comment here that I know nothing other than I've read in media and that the CPS is quite entitled to do whatever they feel is right for justice in this case. They are far better informed than I.
But I do feel that Letby's entire case was handled in typical police and CPS way and I have to say - my faith in their ability has been seriously damaged by the past 23 years of my own experience.
Does my opinion matter? No it doesn't. I have very few followers and even fewer supporters.
I watched Sally Clark die. I watched Andrew Malkinson spend 17 years in jail. I watched dear Bob Woffinden die before the system realised how honest and excellent he was.
My thoughts are paid attention to by a tiny quantity of members of the public.
A supporter told me recently that he thinks I will only be respected and heard after my death, and I suspect he may be right.
Which is fine by me. I've long passed the stage of wanting to be paid attention to.
But I do hope our species benefits from my words in the long run. It may stop further lemming style behaviour by our species. That cliff is terribly close.
