veritas context is everything but that still relies on the opinion of one set of people who feel they have the right to control these things.

I wouldn't count on this decision..I bet if something similar were found on your computer you would end up on the NOtW's "Beasts Of Britain" list !
Solihull Exile Actually we do at least seem to have set a precedent here, and after much stupidity it would appear some sanity has returned.Still it doesn't excuse the origional mess.
I saw an edited version of the pic, didn't strike me as being perverted.Just 2 innocent kids having a laugh.
These things have to be considered in context.I remember going to the seaside 30/40 years before.Plenty of young kids were nude then, and it was considered normal.Even now in ukraine you get kids nude at the seaside, nobody bats an eylid.
I do feel that taking things to extremes, and seeing evil around every corner will be counterproductive in the long run. We'll have got so bored of it all by then that real child molesters will be able to safely operate in the vacumn left.Just as car thieves can easily steal cars with alarms as nobody is the least bit interested when they go off.
Anthony And since when did the CPS assume the role of dictating what is and isn't decent? That's another slippery slope we're off down.

What is decent about all the unsafe and downright wrongful convictions they have been complicit in?

I still haven't seen that photo. I do think the issue of decency/indecency has become very blurry with many grey areas. Opinions are clearly divided.

It seems the main gripe was that the photo involved children too young to give consent. I remember a fuss being made about another photo of a young girl in a bath. One woman on TV was almost hysterical as she ranted about it being child abuse, but the photo wasn't published until the girl was in her 20s and therefore old enough to give retro consent.

As we'd say up North ... "A lot of fuss over nowt."

I wonder what would have happened had they come to the conclusion it was 'indecent'?
