I hate it when people say things like "the answer is go and live elsewhere". It's just part of the bonkers superficialisation process. There is rarely only one answer to most questions. It's not always easy to. Barney, is using slogans like the Tories.
Barney, I can't stop everything and go. Like I said I can't afford to retire yet, unless you have spare money.
Poole is another Dorset shit hole BTW. I go there a fair bit.
It's easier for students to move abroad as they are tech savvy and a lot of is remote.
I love being self employed, always done for 30 plus years! |

A two tier Tory system since 1950s SuperMac, Marples, Beeching pirate-ised and cut-back the public-service railways for private profit over peoples' paid for public service. While Tory Transport Minister Marples vested interest was in building Marples-Ridgway motorways, and first opened the M6 Preston bypass on 5 December 1958, followed by the M1 London to Birmingham in November 1959.
And since then, almost all UK public services Phone/Mail/Comms/Electric/Coal/Gas/Water/Health/Prisons have beeen pirat-ised and sold cheap (often to foreign owners) for profit over people.
Now with a UK National Health INDUSTRY/NHI, much foreign owned and run into the ground by (untrustworthy) Trust Managers bean-counters over highly qualified consultants.
Bean-counter accountants too often knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Green Man, isn't the solution as clear as day? If you don't like the UK, go somewhere else. There's over 200 countries on earth. Few though could replicate (imo) the joy of having a pint or four, on the Quay in Poole - on a hot summer's afternoon. |

I'm with Barney on this one GM. Overall, we are lucky to live in the UK. We could argue details, but we are a free country that despite the pot holes and NHS waiting lists in some areas, enjoys, on the whole, a relatively luxurious standard of living...
What is "free" about it?
That you can post the above with impunity, for one. |
