This time of year (year over) is a good time to catch up on old films so I watched this Hitchcock classic. VERY dated; simply not possible these days and not very well scripted or acted. A clever basic idea (Pat Highsmith) but doesn't stand up in 2024 although seeing some of the places I knew 60 years ago, looking similar, was fun. Don't you love long train journeys? I really miss the overnights to the South of France. I once met one of my heroes (Rumpole creator Mortimer) on it. I watch The Man Who Knew Too Much every time it's on just to see Marrakech and the Mamounia in the 1950s.
