You that all social media is an echo chamber, unless you have got some rich sponsors.

Oh Matthew you are so right mate.

I've heard that 37 billion figure for the covid app. I can't grasp how it is remotely possible to blow that shocking amount of money on an app like that. Just where is the cost breakdown in the public domain? 37 billion is more than the initial cost of the entire length of the HS2 rail line which was 30 billion. How did a mere temporary app for phones end up more than the original cost of building a serious physical infrastructure railway project the length of the country? It makes no sense at all does it. How have they got away with it?

Dido Harding is part of the establishment. TalkTalk was a load of wank when Harding was in charge, I have no idea what the Internet and TV is like now. But I had nothing but trouble when I had TT, bills were random, TV boxes were sluggish and slow getting updates to record ISP channels when BT customers had their's updates years prior to record anything on TV.

Harding left TalkTalk databases were hacked. Surely that would of rung alarm bells...then again the government loves spying.

Not forgetting Serco get a Covid package for millions from the taxpayers for empty words.

Wyot The 37 billion figure has been publically corrected but the original tweet has multiplied exponentially and become "a fact". It isn't, though.

37 billion was the budget for the entire track and trace NHS initiative, which was never all used, and "just" 35 million was spent specifically on the Covid App.

Still a collosal waste of money, none of it with any evidential base. But we on KoH need to tread carefully with media exagerration from all sources!
