Billions wasted during Convid and more billions wasted on Ukraine.

They leave that to the outdated CCTV cameras the councils installed years ago, probaby from your golden mane mullet era Wyot, the plastic coppers PSCO's/Cadets or whatever they called these days. Some towns have Rangers who might be able to bar people in to shops.
When I do see police officers in town it's either they have been called from a business to remove someone or report a crime. When a town event is on, they will patrol the area or try and look and cool by giving away goodie bags and do face painting.
I am still fuming over the loss of my Out Of Print Genesis box sets, power tools, generator and some rings I inherited, which was I had stolen from burglary

I think the Police like to appear to be pro actively tackling and preventing crime. When they mostly just react, or don't react at all.
It is also not true that in cases like this they are preventing crime because we don't know if the perpetrator would have gone through with sexual contact. A whole range of factors may have caused him to change his mind.

I think there needs to be a national debate on what the purpose today is of the Police? Followed by a reset. This is though more the fault of politicians than police officers.

The police like looking at computer screens or sitting behind the wheel of the police car more than actually doing the hard and serious graft of real genuine policing that takes time and effort.
Do you think the police ar keeping constant tabs on this site JK?
Surely this kind of thing is tantamount to the police manufacturing their own crimes they then solve.
