Nobody is ever too old for music!

While Coldplay aren't my thing generally I thought their set Sat night was incredible - and it momentarily made me wish to be there.
Until the last song faded and I went straight to sleep in my hotel room, rather than walking back to a tent among thousands desperate for somewhere to pee...

I went to the first few and many later but when I drove there in my Rolls one year (with of course VIP backstage access), got out of the car in the exclusive parking area, sank into mud to above my ankles, sat back in the car, removed my shoes, put them in a plastic bag and drove straight back to London in bare feet. My final visit.
Watching the crowd this year I could never stand in line for hours at my age. When things get bigger they tend to get worse. Also - tastes change. It's not that new music is less good (or less mass appeal). It's that my generation are either dead, most of them, or bored by the old tunes and not hooked on the new ones.
I'm too old for Glastonbury and sadly too old for music. Hopefully not yet too old for life - but it won't be long.
