Sky own a lot of Freeview channels. I would not be surprised if they bought Wimbledon and show it on a channel like Sky Mix or Challenge TV. It's costly to buy new Freeview new slots but Sky have done it before to show a special event. When the event is over Sky give back the the channel slot.

Discovery could be bid for World Cup games and show it on Quest like they do with the snooker or the pre season friendly. I had SKY TV for the pub it was a headache, when people asked to watch a friendly during the day and trying to find the channel when it was not on Sports section. It would be buried in the EPG.[/quote]

Wyot	I was wondering why I could choose from so limited a number of events. Money ruins everything in the end.

Green Man	All the countries comining in on boats. Now where I have seen that before?
Al Gershwin	Terrific and varied ceremony/events on and around the Seine - showing Paris at it best, whilst reminding us of French achievements and their famous citizens. With all c200 teams/nations represented on floating river craft. One has to wonder why - for years - we've had to just watch the participants walk around a track!
