JK2006 In the absolutely brilliant Cranford, Eileen Atkins has given the performance of the year (definite BAFTA winner) and they killed her off in Week Two.

I was so looking forward to watching her beat off a train with her umbrella.

I almost choked at her nearly last line - something like that the railways will bring to Cranston "death, disease and the Irish"!!!
