Al Gershwin	Now the National Debt is £2.74 trillion In 1979, it was a manageable £88 billion Just check the "000's"....
Simon	It all makes you wonder what the hell the austerity years under Cameron and Osbourne were all about doesn't it.

But of course that wasn't allowed to be discussed at the time. Let alone factored into decision making.
