JK2006 Another of the best films ever made pops up on Film 4 - Alec Guiness was always brilliant but here he's at his best with no comedy at all; comedy is provided by William Holden (I'd never noticed how superb he was in this), Jack Hawkins (a huge talent) and a magnificent script. Sad to think everyone involved must be dead.
