Al Gershwin Eventually made the right decision - unlike many senior clerics in many countries; including the USA, UK and Ireland.

Those who frequently had the abuse of clergy - reported to them, and did nothing. Often the abuser was just transferred.

In Ireland particularly, abuse was rife in Catholic organisations - but, after decades, is only being made known now.
