hedda Yes that might do it.

But the reality is he may be forced by Trump to concede the ground Russia has taken.

There is one large problem in the world..the US armaments business is ginormous and must continuously fed.

Whatever Trump does to Nato, whatever threats Nato still probably has to buy their arms from the US no matter how Trump punishes them.

I wonder what the US co-president (and real life Bond Villain) E.Musk thinks?

How will he sell his Shanghai Teslas in the US if there is a 50% tariff or will he be exempt?
Downing Street Cat The only solution is talking, and that is what Biden should be promoting. Putin will only escalate attacks if they use NATO missiles within Russia. Putin will not surrender. And the danger is him then seeing this as a war with the US. The UK is now the sitting duck and we could be first in the line of fire, especially as Starmer will back up Biden. I never though I'd see the day when I actually look forward to DT. OMG. I'll be screaming Bring Back Boris next.
Rich How about this for a peace plan.

Trump says to Putin, with Ukrainian agreement, okay you keep where you are right now and no further. But the rest of Ukraine up to these new borders will join NATO as soon as I'm President in 2025 and if you so much as make any further moves after that then watch your backs in Moscow.

Not ideal I know, it stinks of a-peace-ment which I deplore. I wonder if Ukraine would go for such a deal that at least got 80% of the country in NATO.

Unfortunately as things stand I heard someone suggest yesterday that even just opening talks with Putin will be seen by him as a small victory that has ended his western isolation.

THe man is genuine human filth and deserves to die horribly and very soon, not just for the deaths of all those Ukrainians but for the deaths of all those Russians he has caused and the misery to all their families. Where's a high balcony, some poison, a bullet or a bomb when you need one to rid the world of this 72 year old mega mass murderer.
JK2006 I'd have a dozen trained 4 men/women squads getting into Russia - 6 near Moscow; 6 near St Petersburg - take out the 6 main energy places for each area. Two hit the communications block then five ninutes later two more use a drone to take out the main energy place. Chaos in Russia's two biggest cities all winter long.
