Yes and we need leaders who aren't vulnerable to election cycles and media influence. Who can implement long term change. I don't know how this looks exactly, but I think the world now desperately needs a paradigm shift. Our leaders must become above the media wind, the 2 second attention span smart phone people, the us and them/zero sum arguments. And then we need a world modelled like this!
I would put myself forward but I am too busy posting here...

You can give one yob an ASBO another one will take it's place. ASBO's were a badge of honor like report cards at school.

Good for you WYOT - join the club. Democracy doesn't work anymore. People usually vote for the wrong reasons. I changed my Mayor of London from Ken Livingston (who I liked as a person - wrong reason) to Boris (when Ken decided to tax Rolls Royces). Wrong but understandable. We should vote for someone we believe will - OVERALL - be good for a city or a country. Very few of us do.

Yes it's so predictable, so dull isn't it.
An interesting and fresh perspective would be for a PM to look at why so many in society are anti-social?
Yes solutions to this would have to be long term and involve suggesting to people that they aren't entitled, aren't the centre of the Universe and their parenting and diets may be shit...
I can't imagine why a self-serving career politician won't do this. I am actually starting to think that democracy is a major problem in itself.
