I don't mean it in a horrible way, but what happened to the poor woman is irrelevant.
It happened because the idiot committed a crime, therefore he should be punished for the crime itself, not if someone was injured or not.
Otherwise, it is the same as saying "nobody got hurt, so let him off".

How can you get less for destroying another person's entire life forever more than for a quick type up and then delete on the internet.

I wouldn't allow driving until 24 when the brain stops growing. And mandatory tests for the over 70. But this would lose votes, so it won't happen.
