Al Gershwin Counting going on now in the 43 constituencies - with the exit polls showing c20% (of first preference votes) being won by Fianna Fail, Fianna Gael and Sinn Fein.

So yet another coalition government is highly probable - and this is unlikely to include Sinn Fein (IRA history), as FF and FG wouldn't serve with them.
Al Gershwin Voting commenced at 7am today, under the Proportional Representation system - in which vote transfers and preferences are critical.

The counting will take days, as candidates are eliminated in each constituency - one by one. Exit polls at 10pm tonight - expected to predict another coalition.
