hedda The long suffering Syrian people now have the murdering monster Netanyahu already bombing the place.

Are people blind that they cannot see what is happening here?

Greater Israel is on the march. One dictator replaced by another.

I hated Damascus when I was there, starting to go around the world in the early 60s before beginning university. But not really its fault. I had checked into my cheap Youth Centre the night before (I was on £1 a day for food and nightly residence). It was on the main square. I woke up and threw open the window shutters. At that moment - a public hanging; three bodies dropped through the trapdoors and the crowd cheered. I checked out and flew on (to Teheran I think, which I loved). Jaysus. I do hope too the new regime is divorced from barbarism, but power tends to corrupt the soul. Hamas, as another example, have betrayed every single Gazan with their actions, without condoning Netanyahu.

Before I was born my father and uncle went around Europe and Afghanistan. They witnessed people's hands being hacked off for thieving. If only the UK would do the same, I may not have been burgled twice.

JK2006 I never liked the look of him or his father so this is welcome news as long as the new regime is a good one (looking at Tunisia, Libya, not sure it will be).
