Wasn't Mrs Thatcher much derided through 1975 and 1976 though just after she got the Tory leadership, as not up to it and ripe for replacement by one of all those men around her. I bet she was thrilled the Soviet Union then called her the Iron Lady. Then look what happened, you can never tell. Are we really going to write people off within a month of getting the job?
I agree with GM though. Reform are looking ever more like they are going to gobble up the Tories slowly but surely over the next year or four. They've got nowehere to go in attacking this Labour government on anything, because they caused most of it, especially the immigration shocker. Nobody will listen to them bleating about it at Labour. Their betrayal is one of the biggest in political history, if not the biggest, and there are literally no excuses for the manner they left the country in.
The bookies appear to have Nigel Farage as more likely to be the next PM than Kemi Badenoch, infact they have him as the favourite over everyone else, even other members of Starmer's cabinet. What is real interesting is that even those who hate Farage with a vengeance on the left are coming around to this being a real possibility, some credible left commentators who you might think would dismiss the idea out of hand. If they are thinking it then something is up and it could become ENORMOUS.
5 years today since Boris won his election and then went on to blow it, what a fool he was after all. Unforgiveable how he trashed that win and all those lent votes and threw it all away, and don't blame Covid! |

She will be toast---ha ha--by the Spring. Bad enough when privileged MP's are out of touch, but when someone is clearly wanting to be seen as out of touch and grabbing headlines and faux hoorays from very white old Etonians, she's heading for a fall. She will not win them a GE. |

Bread is a staple for both paupers and peasants.
All MPs are out of touch and they are parasites.
When I don't fancy a big dinner or even a hot dinner. I like my partner's club/doorstop sandwiches for dinner.
My local MP talks a big game but is very silent at PMQs despite telling us they will bring it up in Parliment.
Tories are finished, Reform is going to be the next Conservative Party but even they are Neo-Cons. |

says bread is not real food and someone brings her a steak for lunch as she soldiers on.
I think her job is to ensure the Tories never get elected again as she spouts such fuckwittery. |
