I agree Wyot, out of interest do you use cash or cards? I know you have family commitments but have you been to Christmas concerts yet?

I use cards GM nearly 100% of time. I haven't been to any concerts for a while, not a great deal appeals.
Green Man If WW3 starts it will all be redundant anyway.

If there a more phones than people than phones companies are destroying enviornment not the farting cows.
Al Gershwin Just like the Henry Ford invention, radio/tv and phones(new and old) have conquered the world. More phones on earth than people!

New payment methods too; credit cards are a start. Voice/eye/thumbprint/DNA/saliva confirmations coming. Not mother's maiden name!

I was in 4 European countries last week; two different currencies: Euro mainly.

Accommodation, food, drink, transport and entertainment - all paid by card.

Simplicity AND a 5% discount on purchases; who, now, wouldn't have a card?

Good rates and no fees. Cash is as redundant as milkmen, farriers and bus conductors.

I use debit cards for everything but I freaked out the other day when a taxi would not accept one and I had no cash.

Finally one card worked but there was nothing wrong with the others..rather it was the taxi's system.

Some months ago I was in a supermarket when the world wide system crashed and machines world wide began shutting down.

I watch as literally registers around me closed down one by one while my register accepted payment and then shut down.

A world wide war could be conducted by cyber crime.
