What's truly scary is that there are now tens of millions of Americans who seem oblivious to various oppressive style of governments , who think the US is now "communist".

Yet they really are facing Fascism under Donald Trump with a billionaire Oligarchy ..just as Hitler had in the 30s, supporting him.

Since the greatest US president  FDR adopted classic Kensyeian policies (that also saved a bankrupt Britain after WW2) the US has had a Capitalist system with large doses of social welfare policies that rocketed multi millions of people into the Middle Class and made the US fabulously wealthy. I'm still amazed that Reeves went crawling off to China like a desperate beggar only to come back having been thrown a few sympathetic crumbs equivalent to a few copper coins, and all just days before Trump comes to power with his views on China. The naive idiocy of this government to show the UK up like that. We are now a long way from Robin Cook's ethical foreign policy, and even further from an ethical economic policy.
