Rich The judiciary should not be classed as entertainment.
hedda It's the judiciary caving in to a rapacious media thirsting for sensation and who have absolutely no problem vilifying judges who may incur their wrath.
Downing Street Cat I am at odds as to whether it's a good or bad thing? It appears that the only televised court judgements which include sentencing are the ones that that the media find satisfyingly sensational or salacious enough. I'm not certain how anyone can in any way benefit from this. What if it later transpires that it's a miscarriage of justice? Maybe a televised judgement might help, or maybe just convince the stupid people that they must be guilty. Men in Wigs Channel is inevitable. Necessary or just puerile entertainment and a lust for vengeance on behalf of the viewer?
