I am sure Rob Brydon and Coogan could have made an inside joke on The Trip about why he can't drive. I was a huge fan of Coogan back in the day. I even liked the Saxondale character he created. I liked the references to rock and metal music. Sunshine, in which he plays a father with a gambling problem, was a good miniseries.
