Jon Craig is probably hanging on until he gets a nice pension.
But what the hell is he doing hanging around Westminster at nearly midnight on a dead Sunday night! Nobody is there. Nothing is happening. This is what struck me as very strange indeed. He must be a political junkie with no other interests in life.
Cleaning lady.

I imagine that quite a lot of journalists, especially in broadcasting, don't work 9-5, especially now that it's the era of 24/7 news.
I tried to find a Sky TV job advert to see if there's any info on working hours, and couldn't find one, but found this ad for a radio journalist at Sky that says the hours are 45 a week and that the person would be expected to "Work a shift pattern which includes weekends and overnights."

Accidentally catching Sky News late last night I saw the veteran old timer Jon Craig on Sky News, one face still hanging on there.
Does this man have a wife and family, or a life?!
I say this because it was 11.15pm on a quiet Sunday night and here he was sitting live in his Westminster office doing a piece to camera with Anna Botting back in studio about the Whatsapp messages another MP has sent. It was the ultimate Westminster bubble irrelevance being made to sound like something, and Jon Craig was sitting there running up to the midnight hour Sunday night talking about it like it was the scoop of the year and he had to be on live TV at that late hour to inform us all. I just found the whole thing quite sad and rather pathetic really that this is what a half decent journalist has been reduced to.
