Green Man If it was not clickbait all the local new sites would be shut down, they rely on advertisers on those with a spare few quid to subscribe each month.

Most of the journos are youngsters with just copy and paste from other news outlets. I remember when some local papers would do deep dives and the nationals would take over.
Rich You really have to despair at the utter claptrap that some of these 'local' sites produce and why anyone would write such tripe, or even look at them and take them at all seriously.

Weather really is used as the most appalling and mostly inaccurate clickbait, even by the major media players. What a naff article to headline snow not falling in many areas for the rest of the month only to then report snow showers are coming for many areas. Reporting weather that is not going to happen is certainly bizarre as a concept.
