Starmer will be nicking Sunak's national service policy at the rate he's going.

William Hague addresses Starmer's comments here. Basically saying they weren't wise unless Starmer is committed to boosting troop numbers.
Downing Street Cat
And again why is Starmer so concerned about Ukraine but quite willing to see Gazans slaughtered and hounded out of their own land? He's a hypocrite and a coward.
Green Man
Starmer needs to focus on the improvements in the UK, not be worried about 2 corrupt countries.
Trump wants a ceasefire and Starmer wants a war across Europe.

It's all very well putting troops in Ukraine, just try getting them back out again.
Literally everything about Britain nowadays seems to be about the assistance of other people, foreigners, as a priority over and above the actual people who the government of the United Kingdom is really here to serve and spend their own taxpayer money on.
The points being made last night about a reticence to use our own forces to defend our own borders from illegal invasion but a keen willingness to defend someone else's is true isn't it. Because what is "invading" OUR country is a vast number of fighting age males and few others.
I hadn't been thinking Starmer had been listening to too many whispwers in his ear from Tony Blair because he's made so many big errors since last summer and Blair would have not made them, he was at least a largely credible PM in his time, but I do wonder about this Ukraine thinking process coming out of Starmer.
So we put troops in Ukraine...
How long are they there for?
What are they doing there?
What happens if any are killed by Russians?
How do we bring them back out, and on what basis?
If peacekeepers, do they retaliate if attacked?
What about mission creep, slowly sucked further in?
How many are we sending?
I find it hard to believe that the head of the British Army and the Chief of the Defence Staff could possibly think this is a good idea. Once we set foot there we could be there for years, or even permanently. That's unacceptable.
Meanwhile the press reports that government is looking to make cuts here at home for all of us so they can spend more on Ukraine. Disgusting beyond belief. Our own leaders seeking to deliberately impoverish British people in order to get one over on Putin and look great.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no pacifist and believe in peace through strength, but this is not the sane way ahead and nobody I know thinks it is either and none of them are pacifist appeasers either, we all want Ukraine to win and Putin's murderous rule to end.
