You are walking on thin ice there homeboy.
Wyot I love food and cooking and am normally adventurous, but I have never been able to try them: massive psychological block!
JK2006 Ooops it's DORSET not Devon (same place - nearly).
JK2006 I love snails in garlic butter and was delighted to find them online but from Devon, not France.
But I had some terrific snails in Morocco from the Atlas Mountains so I thought I'd risk Devon.
First - they arrived brilliantly packed in ice - the best, tightest packaging I've ever seen.
Second - they were delicious.
Third - you may see in the photo my chosen wine for Escargots is Sancerre - I once, about 30 years ago, was in Sancerre on the day of the first release of the new season white wine that year and had it with a dozen delicious snails so it's become a bit of tradition for me.
Thoroughly recommended. Go on Amazon and order from Devon.
You'll be delighted.
