JK2006 Funnily enough I thought it was a great year for films - even the ones I was not keen on like Anora (porn for closet intellectuals) and The Brutalist (far too long) were good movies. And the guy going on about cinemas was absolutely right. Movies on smart phones do not work.
Downing Street Cat Didn't watch any of it. Used to many years ago. Think it's degenerated in recent times culminating in spats like the Smith/Rock thing which was just embarrassing. Was hoping The Substance would do better. But to be fair, that's the only one I've seen. lol.
JK2006 Brody's boring speech almost as long as the boring Brutalist.
JK2006 Delighted by Kieran Culkin's win (A Real Pain was the Best Film of last year but only KC won for Best Supporting Actor). Sad that Timothee didn't win and not a fan of Anora though the boy playing the Russian was terrific. The show itself was very good though I found many of the current female music "stars" out of tune in the Bond medley. The ITV coverage very good - Mariella Frostrup was excellent.
