What they don't tell you is that many of the male characters in Disney films are portrayed as bumbling idiots or villains. Yes, Walt Disney-the man- demonised. There is cynicism and then there is sheer spite and hatred of an established industry which perhaps many little girls once captivated by grew up to be told to hate passionately.
