Yes fascism creeps in doesn't it and is very hard to turn back. Dreadful days. I'm totally in the Hedda camp here on this issue. I can't understand the fans at all.
And yes until we actually see a ceasefire and end to these wars, he could just be making it all worse long term. |

And another pro-Putin/pro-dictator move: Voice of America to be closed down too.
US President Donald Trump has signed an order to strip back federally funded news organisation Voice of America, accusing it of being "anti-Trump" and "radical"....
VOA, still primarily a radio service, was set up during World War Two to counter Nazi propaganda. It says it currently reaches hundreds of millions of people globally each week.
Mike Abramowitz, VOA's director, said he and virtually his entire staff of 1,300 people had been put on paid leave.
Abramowitz said that the order left VOA unable to carry out its "vital mission... especially critical today, when America's adversaries, like Iran, China, and Russia, are sinking billions of dollars into creating false narratives to discredit the United States"....

The politicians who sponsored this bill must have too much time on their hands. Or is this serious and is the Trump administration planning to take a leaf out of the Soviet book (it apparently still happens in Russia today pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5224961/) and have regime opponents incarcerated as mentally ill?
Another pro-Putin/pro-dictator move in the news today:
Czechs appeal for EU help with Radio Free Europe after Trump cuts
The Czech Republic is pushing for EU support to keep Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) running after the Trump administration cut funding for the global broadcaster. ...
Elon Musk, in charge of cost-cutting under Donald Trump, dismissed RFE/RL as "radical left crazy people talking to themselves while torching $1B/year of US taxpayer money". ...
But RFE/RL's president and CEO Stephen Capus said axing the broadcaster's grant agreement "would be a massive gift to America's enemies".
"The Iranian Ayatollahs, Chinese communist leaders, and autocrats in Moscow and Minsk would celebrate the demise of RFE/RL after 75 years," he added. ...
RFE/RL says it reaches a weekly audience of nearly 50 million people in 23 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Afghanistan and ex-Soviet republics in Central Asia and the Caucasus. ... |

This is a bill proposed in Minnesota.
It's called the "Trump Derangement Syndrome" that proposes that anyone who hates Trump (me) has a mental illness.

I mean I reckon the Mango Mussolini himself is the fucking mad one and has dementia and this time around he's proving it by trying wrench the world asunder.
And so much for his utter bullshit about bring peace to various conflicts which are just getting worse.
Note how he has a bad word to say about everyone including up to The Pope, but never ever about Vlad Putin.
And now Trump says it should be illegal for media outlets to say anything bad him.
Lie after lie after lie, bullshit every time he opens his mouth yet people leap to his defense.
History is riddled with the bad and mad but did one of them ever have millions of adoring fans like Trump who make excuse after excuse for his fumbles? (as the Dow and Wall St Stock Market plummet).
They didn't have the media then or by the 20th Century fascists like Hitler, Mussolini and Franco followed by the Soviet Union controlled the media.
Maybe half the population at any one time is basically insane. |
