Al Gershwin When at a loose end, I have the occasional flutter in a betting shop - and (like pubs) have noticed their steady exit from the high streets.

Not only that - but they're usually empty, with the punter betting online these days; a much more convenient way of betting, and less labour intensive.

Just found the link below - which explains the background. Another change for our town centres to process, and a lifestyle alteration for many.

JK2006 Sadly NOT by winning but because 5 were non runners so they gave me back my £10 bet on each! I always take 7 or 8 bets - I came second (I Am Maximus) but at 6-1 if that had won - no profit. I also had Broadway Boy which led for most of the race and then had the most awful fall which seems to have had little coverage.
