JK2006 And now everyone and everywhere is talking about it - two more points. The show brilliantly never said whether he was guilty or innocent (just that he decided to plead guilty - which almost always happens; certainly did to me in 2000 - I refused to pay £5000 to each liar). And avoided the girl's family (unlike media in similar real cases). But writer Thorne has been asking for government intervention like Australia. WRONG. It's too late. Like climate change, we can never get the genii back in the bottle and shouldn't waste time trying. ADAPT. Society, humanity must adapt to new conditions. Just as humanity should invade GAZA, throw out Israel, arrest Hamas, stop the killing. And interfere in Ukraine on behalf of the millions of innocents who don't care either way - just want peace.
Banning or censoring online is impossible and does nothing. Changing the attitude of humans, especially children who genuinely feel a "friend" can be someone they have never met, is the only way.
