As sad as it is Hedda I can believe it. If your borders are open to the incursion of a death cult like Hamas, the human is capable of anything to protect their children, or believe they are protecting them.
Of course, it is also depends how the question is phrased. Action is one thing but starvation another....

Israel is the size of Wales - and Gaza's smaller than the Isle of Wight, but with a massive population; both connected by land.
Aid, communications and movement are therefore extremely difficult - meaning that a concerted multi-nation effort is needed.
