Green Man Why would anyone want to carry or hold a stranger's suitcase at an airport?

I don't think they are mules these days, but chancers.
hedda Actually it's not that unusual for those who organise smuggling to pack cases for a stupid "mule" who collects the case on the way to the airport.

While I have no knowledge of this case remember drugs are still often concealed in hidden compartments.

They can always be seen now via x-ray machines but those who organise these runs rely on quantity with not a single thought for the mule's safety rather they may have 2 or 3 mules on the same plane hoping 1 or 2 get through undetected.
robbiex You'd be amazed, a lot of men let their wives pack their bags for them. I can't imagine anyone else deciding what clothes I'm going to wear
Green Man I agree JK! It was either my mother packed them for me when I travelled to and from the USA and Ireland. Later in life, my ex-girlfriend or my partner packs them for holidays.

Not many men pack their bags if they are not single.
JK2006 "didn't pack her own bags". Oh come on. Has anybody ever in the history of humanity not packed their own bags?
