Reading that made me go looking for further information and I found this article from 2013. It gave me a few laughs.

The bit about gay marriage and Jimmy Savile being odd and possibly a homosexual made me wonder if Norman Tebbit could have substituted either of the participants in this conversation:

My nod to him anyway was an acknowledgment that (whatever one's views of them) he had principles and did not sway in the media wind. And he seemed to be a decent, loyal and honorable man in his private life...virtues and words so hopelessly old fashioned now...


yes there is merit in that and as I've said before, although I disagreed with every Thatcher policy..she didn't lie. She said exactly what she was going to do and did it for good or bad.

And she obviously inspired loyalty within her party.
