JK2006 I'm a massive Jimmy McGovern fan and this was superb as usual (I've also always loved Threlfall ever since seeing him as Smike) but Jimmy fell for the socially accepted mistake that being abused causes further abuse. It can, in some cases, but far from all. It's hard for an imaginative, intelligent person, male or female, to accept that the growth crime of this century has been False Allegations. Enabled often by police or bent lawyers, it continues to explode. I await the Mr Bates equivalent drama exposing false accusers and their enablers.
