I think it was the View hotel in Eastbourne or the Metrolpolitan Hotel in Leeds. £15-£20 is quite common now for 4 star hotels and above.
I'm plant-based now, although if I'm away from home, I will have eggs and butter; otherwise, I won't have enough to eat. Seitan is a good meat substitute that is minimally processed. It's made from Vital Wheat gluten and chickpea flour. It is very high in protein.
Tofu is just the curds from soya beans. It isn't heavily processed, its just basically pressed once the beans are boiled to get the curds. It doesn't have much flavour of its own, it takes on the flavour of what it's cooked in (e.g soya sauce, sesame oil). |

I get ideas for when the children are a bit older (can be left!!) and I retire at 55...
Go for it Wyot.
You have enough time to work on a mix tape. |

£70 for a breakfast, and then it was cold, what a racket. You should have gone to Greggs (or the french equivalent) and got a bacon roll and tea for £3.00.
I think the most I have paid for breakfast was £18.00.
I can't eat breakfast, as I always feel rough afterwards. I do miss a fry up. It's all due to IBS.
I usually have brunch instead, which will do me until dinner time. Pork is one of the trigger foods, along with eggs, beans, but I do like mushrooms. I am getting used to a lot of plant-based foods and Qourn.
They are still highly processed. Blander the better for me, sadly, these days. My partner makes very good vegetarian fajitas with plant-based meat.
Where did you go to spend £18 for breakfast? I don't think I have spent more than about £10 for a full English. |
