hedda My mother's father who was Russian but lived in Lithuania used to tell me how fond he was of holidays in Crimea when a child when he was a member of the Young Pioneers.

Crimea was Russian up to the 50s when it was transferred to Ukraine. Not very nice giving a gift and then snatching it back,

I think Putin wants to recreate the USSR
