As Hedda, and others rightly note. While liberating Europe from the monster Hitler, Russia lost more than 20 million of it's people, more than any other WW2 nation
At the Big Three Potsdam summit near Berlin, July 1945, the monster Stalin met the monsters Truman and Churchill (soon replaced by Labour P.M. Attlee) agreeing to Soviet retention of liberated lands in return for Russia entering the War to defeat Japan already a spent force. Which didn't stop monster Truman from promptly nuking nearly 200,000 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Post-WW2 Monster Stalin failed to allow free elections in the expanded Soviet Union and the newly formed CIA under Monster Alan Dulles began an eight decades ongoing demonizing of Communism. While the demonic U.S. Military Industrial Complex expanded Worldwide to counter threats which the self-serving CIA invented. Initially in 1952 combined operations CIA/Ajax and MI6/Boot with re-elected Churchill illegally invading Iran for oil, seems familiar?
Since winning WW2 for so called ‘Free Democracy’ the FAKE virtue US-led CRIMINALS for their profiteering Military Industrial Complex, corrupt Banks, and fake media have KILLED 20 to 30 MILLION Human VICTIMS in 37 VICTIM NATIONS.

So China basically saved Australia from a Japanese invasion because they were tied up militarily in China.
Japan was convinced it could take Australia with 100,000s of troops as they had bombed Darwin into oblivion and sent mini subs into Sydney Harbour to bomb the city.

I think the point is Rich that we share a lot of values with other nations, such as Germany, France, Italy, Norway and on. And have decided to go it alone. I agree with JK: big mistake.
I completely disagree that leaving the EU means "going it alone" Wyot. It's just like the offspring of a parent leaving home and cutting the purse strings. You're still very connected to each other and always will be, but just not in that particular place anymore. Starmer still mixes it with other European leaders on the world stage, he's done it very recently visiting Trump with Macron, Merz and Meloni. Infact the one missing from Western Europe was the Spanish PM and they are in the EU. |

I've never been a fan of all those marches with tanks and robots all doing identical marching and choreography but then military might is only worth having to defend humanity - the species - against aliens like Hitler and Netanyahu. |
